Floral Design

Since I only have two more days of my college career, I thought I should post about a class I took this semester. I had quite the easy semester and one of those classes was Floral Design. I have always wanted to take this class and am glad I was finally able to. I learned a lot and had fun as well. The best thing was I learned the names of so many flowers and foliage. That will be something I will use forever. I love knowing the names of flowers, being able to point them out, and create arrangements. I have loved having flowers around my house. They always brighten up our little basement home.
Here is a collage of some of the arrangements I made. It doesn't look as good as it did when I actually had the flowers, but it works! I am definitely not a professional, but I would love to do more with flowers in the future.

March 1st, we celebrated being married 6 months! I can't believe how fast it has gone. September 1, 2011 was the best day of my life. Matt is the best person ever and I am so glad I get to be with him forever!
Here's to the next 6 months...and forever!

22

Another birthday has come and gone. Yesterday I took the day off of work and spent it with Matt. He got me breakfast in bed, which is a fun tradition in my family. We did some shopping and had a delicious dinner at PF Changs. The night wouldn't be complete without some Graham Canyon ice cream. It is our favorite! It was a great and relaxing day. Thanks for all the sweet calls, texts, emails, and messages!
Thanks to my family for the breakfast tray and plate!
Thanks to Matt for the workout stuff and to Matt's parents for the canisters
Please note the great banner my mom made!

Valentine's Day

Day of Love!!! This has been a fun day for us as it is the one year anniversary of our first date. Last year, Matt took me out to dinner and bowling, he then dropped me off and came back like 15 minutes later with flowers. I was a bit freaked out then, but now I loved that he did that. What a guy! So much has happened in the last year and we are just loving it.
Today I was up before Matt and heart attacked his closet, the bathroom, and the pantry door. It's a fun tradition that my mom does. It was a total surprise for Matt.

We both had a busy day with work and school, but were able to surprise each other with a few little things throughout the day. Matt kept the tradition and got me some gerber daisy's and managed to sneak a pack of Diet Coke in my car for me to see when I left this morning. He knows what I love!
I hid candy bars for Matt throughout the day and had a red rose for him that I got in my floral design class. We ate dinner at home. I made flank steak, potatoes, and veggies. It was a nice meal topped off with Matt's favorite dessert of brownies with vanilla ice cream and caramel.
Hope you all had a Happy Valentine's Day and were able to express your love and appreciation for those important people in your life.

Jazz Game

The night before I started school, we were able to meet Emily and Brad in Salt Lake and go to a Jazz game. They had some extra tickets and were so kind to invite us. We were on the 15th row for the game. It was so fun to see them. I hadn't seen Em since my wedding. It's a bummer that they live all the way up in Logan. Hopefully we will be able to see them again soon, especially since I need my hair done and don't know if I will be able to put it off much longer.
Only picture we got and it's not even that good
Hope everyone is having a great week!
