Baby Shower

This past Saturday the wonderful Asay woman threw me a baby shower. It was a gorgeous warm Spring day. I loved being surrounded by family and friends who are just as excited for our little guy to arrive. Well, we may be a bit more excited! The theme of planes, cargo, and travel was so cute. They did such a great job with the invitations, decorations, food, and everything. We were spoiled and got some fun things! Thanks to all those that put it together and came! We feel so loved!
Wish I got more pictures with everyone else that was there. Bummer.

Baby Update: 38 weeks...no signs

Matt's Graduation

The long awaited day finally came! Matt graduated from Utah Valley University with a degree in Business Management and an emphasis in Entrepreneurship. So proud of him. He has worked hard and now we are entering a new stage of life, multiple new stages in fact. No more nights of reading or me asking what assignments he has to do. He can now focus more attention on work and other career ventures. He has set some great goals for himself concerning his employment and we look forward to seeing those out!
Congrats Matt!! You deserve nothing but the best!
Matt was able to walk and graduate with his buddy Brad
No good pictures are coming from me these days

Easter

Our Easter weekend was great! Started out with the 2nd annual Asay Easter Egg Hunt and then Sunday we had Easter dinner with my grandparents and Aunt JoAnne. We hosted the dinner at our place and it turned out great. Delicious food, great company, and a day to reflect on the Savior. It was perfect!
These two are best buds
Happy Easter!
Also, I couldn't resist posting about a little boy in our Primary class. We teach the CTR 7 class and they are quite the handful. One little boy loves Matt and will always come find us after Sacrament to walk together to Primary. Such a cutie. Well yesterday, during Sacrament Meeting he came and handed Matt a paper airplane he made and then quickly disappeared. About 10 minutes later, he had this drawing for me. We were dying at how cute/funny it is.
It says "I love baby. from Ashton." But more importantly look at the picture. It is me laying down with a baby in my belly. Hilarious!!

Biggest Project Yet

We were so fortunate to be able to get some pretty special baby furniture. We got the crib, cradle, and changing table that was first used with me and has gone through my siblings and three of my cousins. 23 years later and a new generation coming, we decided to give it a face lift. It was quite the project and took many hours. Painting each of the spindles with multiple layers of paint that had to dry in between was time consuming, but so worth it. Big thanks to Matt who was very detail oriented and has made the finished product look amazing. I can't wait to have our little guy in it. Getting the bedding has been fun and there are still a few things that need to be done with them. But we love the set and are so grateful to have it.
Before
I always wore a mask

After
*Don't mind the duplicates of the crib, couldn't figure out how to only have 3 pictures and the changing table has become storage for now, but you get the idea

Spring Break

Our Arizona plans, unfortunately, fell through, but we still wanted to get away. It may be our last chance to go somewhere just the two of us together for a while. So we decided to take a long weekend up in Park City. It ended up being perfect. The first day was warm enough for us to put on our suits and lay out. After a long freezing winter, 60 degrees was awesome! I loved being out in the sun reading a good book. We played lots of games, enjoyed relaxing, shopped at the outlets, hit up our favorite pizza place, and checked out Olympic Park. Nothing too cool was going on up there, but it was still fun to see something new. Best part was watching the bob sleds race around the track. They were going so fast as they zipped past us at like 70 mph. I love the Olympics, so I loved the atmosphere even though it was pretty barren. It was great to just be together not worrying about work or school. Now it's back to the grind for Matt as he finishes up school and continues to work hard at work. For me, well today I am 30 weeks along! Yikes! Are we ready for this? Right now, I would say no so good thing we have some time. Although time is flying by! We are getting more and more excited/anxious/every emotion possible as we start the countdown for the mr. to arrive.
I don't see how this belly can get any bigger!
