6 Months Down

Cruising through my second trimester has been awesome! I can't believe that today I hit the 6th month mark. Time has flown by! There is so much to do. But I have started on some things. Matt and I are in such limbo with life right now and our future that it is hard to plan. We are searching for answers and hoping we can get things figured out soon. Life requires a lot of faith. One thing we do know is that this baby boy is coming and we couldn't be more excited.

Here are a few Sweet 'N' Sours of Pregnancy Life so far:
-Sweet: little guy's kicking (my favorite), Matt being able to feel some kicks, showing but not toppling over, lots more energy, being able to shower without having to sit down, being able to do my hair without sitting in a chair, no throw-up, buying and making things
-Sour: not being able to stay in one position for a long time, belly button shrinking, not being able to sleep on my back
Here is my 23 week (today) picture. I seriously hate taking these pictures and have no idea how to take a good one. I shouldn't even put it up, but people tell me I will look back and be glad I have it. Maybe next time I will take it at the beginning of the day instead of the end. That will probably help too.

It's A...

BOY!!!
We found out the gender of our little guy at 16 weeks, which was like a month ago. We were so excited. I was totally thinking it was a girl, but obviously my motherly instincts have already failed. I can't wait for all the little boy cousins to be friends. It will be so fun. Today we had out 20 week ultrasound and it was confirmed. Our little guy is still growing strong. Everything looked perfect and I wish we could have an ultrasound every appointment. They are my absolute favorite. Our little guy is so active and I love seeing his perfect body. It makes me all the more excited to have him here. What color will his eyes be? Will he get any of my Papa's height genes? (Doubt it...) There is so much unknown, but as long as we have a healthy baby all else will be added bonuses. I can't wait to be this little guy's mom and I know Matt will be the best dad ever!
Side note: for now we have a no name baby boy...and it may be like that for a while. We are seriously struggling with names!
Cute little guy sucking his thumb- LOVE HIM!!!

20 Weeks

Wahooo!!!! We made it half way. I have been feeling great these days. I love it. I can actually enjoy life and the little nugget growing inside. I had a minor freak out realizing that I am half way and we haven't done a thing. Yikes! There is so much to do. But I have time, I am just excited to get things ready. Over the last few weeks I have been paying extra attention to my belly and possible movements. I had no clue what it would feel like or when it would come. Well our babe is in full kicking mode. I for sure felt the kicks at like 19.5 weeks and now I know for sure those jabs are it. I love it! Matt has tried to feel it and has only felt one kick. Soon, he will be able to feel more and that will be exciting! I am keeping a much more detailed and frequent journal of our growing baby in a journal so I don't forget all these exciting things!

I am not a fan of taking pictures of my growing belly, even though I am sure it will be fun to look back on and see the changes. So I haven't been the best at it and usually they are just self portraits in the mirror. They aren't good and never do justice to what my stomach really is like. But for those who do want to see...here is my 20 week picture. Enjoy!
